Automotive Shredder Residue (ASR) pyrolysis: successful pilot run in Switzerland
Successful commissioning tests of the continuous pyrolysis unit TDP-2-200M were held at the production site of Eco-Carbon Ltd. (Switzerland).
In June 2018, the first stage of commissioning took place – that time, the Complex successfully proceeded sawdust. The marketable products, pyrolysis fuel, pyrolysis gas and dry residue, matched stated specifications.
In September 2018, the Pyrolysis unit TDP-2-200M was successfully tested in conjunction with a microturbine with a Capstone C65 power generator. Due to the pyrolysis gas obtained during the process, up to 65-kW/h of electricity was generated (the maximum declared capacity of this model).
Independent power generation from the pyrolysis gas will significantly reduce the servicing costs of the Customer’s facilities. In such a way, waste will serve as a secondary raw material, providing financial benefits without damaging the environment.
Kindly remind you that the Thermal Decomposition Plant (TDP-2-200M) is designed for Automotive Shredder Residue (ASR) recycling. The modernized gas cleaning system will ensure full compliance of gas emissions with the environmental standards of the European legislation.
